Sarah Andelmen, co-founder and former creative director of prestigious Paris concept retailer, colette, is partnering with Vault by Vans to shine a spotlight on 4 artists in celebration of International Women's Day.
Andelmen notes that she immediately thought of these specific women when the project began, having met them at various points over the years and being inspired by their creativity and passion for what they do.
Julia Chiang is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Julia often works with paint and ceramics, creating detailed repetitious marks and forms that not only reveal but celebrate imperfection. For her capsule collection, Julia imagined how they would live within the real world – how they would sink into sand, dip into water, and be worn on the streets. Her collection includes an OG Authentic LX which features her work atop a washed denim upper, complete with a blue outsole along with a yellow foxing stripe, and yellow laces.
