Last year, tastemaker cult favorites NOAH teamed up with adidas for a collection that fused the classic preppy undertones of NOAH with the nautical leaning styles of Long Island. With summer upon us once more, adidas and NOAH head back out towards the water, with an all-new collaborative range.

Just as the seaside encompasses both leisure and industry, the Summer 2021 adidas x NOAH collection playfully darts back and forth between classic sportswear and workwear influences. Basic essentials like hoodies, graphic tees and socks, and a workwear pairing of jacket and painter’s pants are featured in timeless and stylistically universal white cotton, while a quartet of sportier pieces: shorts, jacket, trackpants and tech cap, are outfitted in all-over pastel floral print that’s equal parts casual, elegant, and bold.

The collection’s footwear component continues the dual influences motif, by highlighting a lesser known, but fondly remembered basketball silhouette, the Probound alongside an all-time icon, the Rod Laver Super. The Probound’s old school style speaks for itself. A classic mesh/suede construction, blue three-stripes branding and red trimmed navy heel counters feature restrained co-branding, in the form of NOAH text, seashell tongue label and sockliner. The Rod Laver takes a similarly restrained approach, as the unbranded mesh uppers, suede accents, and polyurethane midsole also sport the seashell NOAH branding, but also a playful additional detail, asymmetrically mismatched heel counter/outsole combinations.
