One of the oldest sneaker brands in the world,  Pro-Keds was created to manufacture “more serious” performance footwear for basketball players in 1949.  Born out of the popularity of Keds shoes amongst champion athletes, which had been manufactured by the U.S. Rubber Company since 1916, Pro-Keds remains one of the founders of the classic American Sportswear aesthetic.
