When one of your core principles is “all conditions means all conditions,” there’s not really any such thing as an offseason. So, things like single digit temperatures, snow, sleet, freezing rain, and icy ground won’t stop Nike’s ACG range from rolling into the new year with the Air Wildwood and Okwahn II silhouettes.
The Air Wildwood is a much loved, absolute classic from the early days of the ACG range. A phylon cushioned silhouette with visible design links to 1980s running models like the LDV, equipped with a durable leather upper, and beefed up, trail ready outsole, the Wildwood threw down the gauntlet for the ACG range. Familiar yet boundary pushing, the Wildwood proved to be an irresistible invitation to the kind of outdoors, adventure cross training that ACG advocated for. The returning Air Wildwood is featured in three colorways: a no-nonsense all-black, a more traditional running, white, black, and silver, with bright red and neon yellow accents, and a distinctly, 90s radical, black with neon green and vivid purple.
A more recent addition to the ACG family, the rock climbing/trail running silhouette cut a distinct figure with its minimalistic, swooshless branding. The latest iterations of this updated cult favorite sees the Okwahn’s nylon mesh/perforated leather upper, external support, rope lacing system, speckled midsole and rugged outsole rendered in bold, 90s ready colors.
