The sneaker's design draws inspiration from Tatum’s body art, incorporating the Celtics’ forward’s tattoos throughout. The heel counter features a red star with a debossed ‘98’ paying homage to Tatum’s birth year and matching the athlete’s knee-blaster. On the front side ‘U. City” is embroidered, which corresponds to Tatum’s back tattoo, a nod to the three-time all-star’s hometown in Missouri.
