Midnight Studios, the brainchild of designer Shane Gonzalez, is “punk inspired” in the original sense of the word. The same impulse that led Johnny Rotten to decide that a newly purchased, expensive sweater would be improved by razor blade slashes, or Vivienne Westwood to make the contents of a King’s Road sex shop into revolutionary high fashion, is behind the creation of Midnight Studios.
