DAYTONA DMX II
Not that DMX. If anything, Reebok’s mid-90s, state of the art running silhouette offers the exact opposite of a rough ride. Designed by Christian Tresser, the mind behind several other technologically advanced running models of the era, the Daytona took responsive cushioning to new heights with the DMX moving air system, which allowed air to travel between connected chambers, with the movement of the wearer’s foot.
After reintroducing the original Daytona DMX, Reebok has naturally followed up with a reissue of the sequel, the Daytona DMX II. The essential structure of the breathable mesh and synthetic upper, futuristic curves and cross training outsole remain in place, with a shift in the positioning of the respective elements, and subtle tweaks to the placement of the vector logo, resulting in a open feeling streamlining of the original.
