x TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist ERX 260 HI
TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist doesn’t typically work in the realms of standard or ordinary. So, when it comes to collaborating with Converse, it makes perfect sense that the silhouette of choice is an aggressive, late 80s basketball design, the ERX 260 HI, rather than the usual suspects.
The avant garde experimentalism, modern, technical elements and rock subculture influences that inform TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist’s output all feature in a triple black variant of this high top basketball model.
A black leather and suede upper with a removable zipper lace guard give off distinct, biker jacket vibes. A translucent sole showcasing a text graphic reading “Hello, Hello, Hello, I am the Soloist” adds a touch of the contemporary and the unexpected, while “I Am the Soloist,” stitched in white on an exaggerated tongue finishes off the design with a sophisticated, restrained, but impactful high contrast element.
