x Neighborhood WALLABEE GTX

Going back to the earliest days of England’s punk scene, a curious affinity between the aural assault and confrontationally shocking aesthetic of punk, and the comparatively, sonically mellow sounds and dressed up style of reggae and ska. The symbiosis that spawned classic Clash singles, shaped the radical post-punk direction of Public Image Limited, and led to the development of entirely new genres like 2-tone, is rekindled by Clarks and Neighborhood.

Two of the classics Clarks models favored by sharply dressed subcultures that subverted the trappings of the allegedly superior social classes, the Wallabee and the Desert Trek, are filtered through the Neighborhood lens of punk influenced attitude and utilitarian performance.

The Wallabee GTX outfits the timelessly simple lines of the moccasin in black, ballistic nylon, with Gore-Tex lining, for waterproof, yet breathable functionality. A durable Vibram sole provides comfort and sure footing, while a suede vamp offers a subtle touch of classic Clarks design.

The Desert Trek (also known by the more aggressive nickname of bank robber in Jamaica) features a classic, suede upper, along with other familiar elements in the distinctive central seam and ‘Trek Man’ emblem. A grey colorway that wouldn’t look out of place on an F-18 Hornet, and Neighborhood’s saw toothed pattern wrapped around the toebox bring a utilitarian touch to a street fashion fixture.

If a size is not listed, it is sold out.
