The history of the Air Jordan 3 is, well, not exactly what you would define as conventional. Some may even call it, “the shoe that saved Nike’s a**”. As the story goes, it was the first shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield for Michael Jordan, and also the shoe that convinced Jordan to extend his contract with Nike. For the three decades since its release, the 3 has taken on countless color ways and retros, as it continues to be one of the most desired Jordan silhouettes of all time.
This time around, Jordan Brand introduces a brand new Jordan 3 in a “Chlorophyll” color scheme, inspired by the Nike Air Trainer I’s original colorway. Dressed in a Light Smoke Grey and White upper, Black elephant print overlays then provide a luxurious contrast. Along with the silhouette’s original Air bubble window, a Sail midsole and Light Grey outsole draw the shoe back to its roots. The design is then finished off with classic Jordan branding in a smooth, Chlorophyll Green, to include a humble hint of color.
