Nike SB and Air Jordan continue to pledge their allegiance to each other with another 2019 collaboration -- and it just happens to be Eric Koston’s second low-top redesign of the Jordan 1 this season.

Hot on the heels of the “Midnight Navy” colorway released back in June, pro skater and multiple X-Games champion, Eric Koston is back in the design chair with a Carolina Blue release inspired by a pair of UNC colorways he had his eyes on in a bargain bin back in 1986.

The fact that his mom refused to buy them for him back in the day must have really left a lasting impression because he has chosen to commemorate his signature pair by adding a cheeky $24.99 price tag on the tongue—it was the sale price of the pair he would never get to own.

Well, 23 years later and it’s Koster who gets the last laugh, designing his own version of the original object of his desire. In addition to a full leather upper of Carolina Blue and white, an extended vamp and modified sized Swoosh provide additional notable accents.
