Covering the distance between Los Angeles and Tokyo encompasses a distance of 5,468 miles on flight that is, typically, about 11 and a half hours long. A new three-way collaboration from Vault by Vans, Tokyo street style kingpins Neighborhood and renowned tattoo and graffiti artist Mr. Cartoon manages to cover that distance with two pairs of shoes.

Under the banner of Uncle Toons Mart by Neighborhood, the black dominant, motorcycle inspired aesthetic of Neighborhood combines with the black and grey fine line tattoo style of Mr. Cartoon across two Vans classics, the Old Skool 36 DX and the Authentic 44 DX.

The Old Skool opts for a tonal black approach, with black midsoles and signature side stripe complimenting a black suede upper. Co-branding embroidery features at the toes and heels, with 'Tokyo' and 'Los Angeles' emblazoned across the toecaps, and 'Uncle Toons Mart by Neighborhood' at the heels.

The Authentic features a classic Vans formula of canvas upper adorned with an all-over print. Artwork featuring a physical Uncle Toons Mart building, roses and a range of human figures bring the collaboration's concept to life, with Uncle Toons Mart branding at the midsoles in a classic tattoo script further emphasizing the street style motif.
