Chinese patchwork, also known a hundred-families robe (CHINESE: 百家衣, BAIJIAYI), is made by sewing scraps of silk or cotton together to form design art. This technique is still used in Chinese quilting today. The design for the patchwork often tells a story of Chinese folklore. In honor of the Chinese New Year that is approaching, Converse pays homage to this patchwork technique, dropping a brand-new Chuck 70 that features cut & sewn patchwork panels throughout the upper that align to the 12 Chinese zodiacs. Boasting various, vibrant colors and materials like snake pattern leather, and bright Reds and animal prints, this shoe is surely a show-stopper.
