The original, circa 1997, Salvation running shoe was an ahead of its time concept that bucked the dominant trends and conventional design wisdom of the era, and promoted a comparatively minimalist, natural motion concept. The Feet You Wear range mimicked the curves of the foot, while utilizing a motif of rounded off shapes and flowing waves, for a cultivated, considered mixture of form and function.

This lineage makes the Salvation a perfect canvas for a collaborative project with influential, Berlin based art and culture publication 032c.

The progressive impulses behind the Salvation are heightened through a minimalist design, with the mesh and suede construction dominated by tones of white and grey. A newly added tongue shroud further modernizes the distinctive shape of the Salvation. The pure landscape is unencumbered by text or branding, with the only external disruption coming in the form of 032c wordmarks at the heel, rendered in the appropriate bold, red Pantone color. The deep red shade makes another appearance on the shoe’s insole, for a finishing touch that can be appreciated as part of a larger design, without muddling the overall aesthetic message.
