Trifecta: Year One( May 22-25, 2014) is a free, four-day event filled with programming from Trifecta Editions and the artists they have worked with in their first year as a print collective. Year One centers around a group art exhibition highlighting Trifecta Editions’ talented collaborators. The exhibition roster includes artists from such diverse disciplines as landscape design, illustration, painting, photography, video, comics, graffiti and more. The event will feature live painting and drawing, artist talks, presentations and panels, screen printing skillshare sessions, live music performances, exclusive print releases and a Trifecta Editions pop-up shop of prints and art objects.

Artists include: Greg Lamarche (SP.ONE), Nick Zaremba, Matt Zaremba, Khaldoun Hijazin, Faye Orlove, Brian Butler, David Buckley Borden, Gupi Ranganathan, Farel Dalrymple, Edie Bresler, Cyrille Conan, Masha Ryskin and Michele L’Heureux

Event Highlights: Boston print professionals’ roundtable “Shop Talk,” moderated by Michele L’Heureux gathers the screen printers from Trifecta Editions, AntiDesign and Weinberg Design as well as letterpress printers from Valor Press and Union Press to discuss their print passions and talk shop. Trifecta Editions’ screen printers host a unique screen printing skillshare. Attendees can try screen printing with paper stencils, either cut by hand or by danger!awesome’s laser-cutter, and bring home prints of their own. Mass Art alum Brian Butler returns from Miami to live-draw Saturday night’s entertainment, Ponies in the Surf and Milo Jones. Before the show, attendees can meet with Brian to get illustration tips and advice they can use during the show to make their own band drawings. Trifecta Editions’ first artist-in-residence, landscape designer David Buckley Borden, will give a presentation about his work, his place in the art scene and the summer projects he has planned for Trifecta Editions’ Hibernaculum Residency at Eagle Lake in the Adirondacks.
